What are the requirements for a CDA?
To obtain a CDA credential an individual must meet all of the following requirements:
- 18 years of age or older
- High school diploma or a GED
- 480 hours of experience working with children within the past five years
- 120 hours of documented and approved training within the last five years
- Professional resource file
- Parent opinion questionnaires
- Assessment observation instrument
- An oral interview
- A written assessment
