How can I get reimbursed for coursework, fees and/or books?
Although reimbursements cannot be guaranteed, Connecticut Charts-A-Course encourages all individuals to apply.
Click here to download the current criteria and guidelines for scholarship assisted reimbursement for an out-of-pocket expense packet that includes all of the forms required for Connecticut Charts-A-Course to review your reimbursement request.
The packet explains the following information that is helpful when applying to the Scholarship Assistance Program for reimbursement:
- Coverletter that explains the Career Counselor assigned to your geographic area. The Career Counselor can assist with academic and career counseling information as well as assistance with becoming a Registry member and its benefits.
- Current Scholarship Eligibility Requirements and Priorities.
- Scholarship Request Calendar: Lists the dates when scholarship requests are reviewed and the types of coursework and fees considered for scholarship assistance.
- Request for Reimbursement Form.
- A W9 completed as an individual/sole proprietor. A W9 is required by the State of Connecticut for all reimbursements.
- Email, fax or mail along with a completed W9 documentation that you paid an out-of-pocket expense (examples are: both sides of a canceled check, credit card receipt or a receipt from the college showing a zero balance).
